Business Opportunities Co-ordinator

Background

I joined NPS in 2008, after performing a similar job on a smaller scale with a local construction company. It’s been interesting to see the procurement process from a different angle.

What do you do?

I work as a Business Opportunities Co-ordinator in the business development team based at the NPS head office in Norwich.  I search for new business opportunities that are relevant to NPS, and take them from the initial identification of a great opportunity to a prequalification submission, and then if successful on to a tender.  This involves filling out questionnaires to tight deadlines, and knowing a lot about NPS procedures and processes.

I also assist our graphic design specialists to create advertisements, help to plan presentations for conferences, and help out with arrangements and promotional ‘goodies’ for corporate events. This part of my role allows me to explore a more creative side, which I thoroughly enjoy!  The best part about my role is that I work with people throughout the whole NPS Group, in many different roles and offices, helping to win work for the company.

Why NPS?

I love the buzz of working within a fast paced industry and being able to contribute to the success of such a professional company.  I work with a fantastic and committed team of people who have a wide range of personalities and skills that all play a part in making my experience with NPS an enjoyable one. NPS is a great company to work for!
